Platform & API Use Policy

This Platform & API Use Policy explains how Cre8 Studio uses official APIs (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others) and sets the rules for using those integrations inside Cre8 Studio.

Effective date: 11 December 2025 Operator: BMS Creative Concept (“we”, “us”)

1. Scope and relationship with other documents

This Policy applies to all features of Cre8 Studio that communicate with or depend on external platforms via their official APIs, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and any future supported services.

It is an addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By enabling any platform integration inside Cre8 Studio, you agree to this Policy as well as the relevant third-party terms and policies.

2. Relationship with YouTube, Google and other platforms

Cre8 Studio is an independent product and is not owned, sponsored or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok or any other platform.

When you connect your accounts, you are authorising Cre8 Studio to act as a technical tool on your behalf, using those platforms’ official APIs. Your use of each platform continues to be governed by its own terms, including:

Nothing in this Policy limits your obligations under any platform’s own terms. Where there is a conflict, the platform’s rules always win.

3. Permitted use of APIs and data

Subject to this Policy and all applicable platform rules, Cre8 Studio is designed to be used in the following ways:

  • Connecting your own channel, page or account via the official OAuth or app-connection flow.
  • Uploading, scheduling and publishing content that you own or have the legal right to use.
  • Managing titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags and other metadata for your own content.
  • Reading limited performance data (for example, views, likes, watch time) solely for the purpose of showing you dashboards or optimisation tools inside Cre8 Studio.
  • Automating repeatable workflows you configure (for example, scheduled uploads, multi-platform posting), as long as those workflows remain within each platform’s terms and technical limits.

We use API-returned data only to deliver the features you see in the Cre8 Studio interface, and never for independent resale, advertising targeting or building third-party profiles.

4. Prohibited conduct

To protect all platforms and users, the following behaviour is strictly prohibited when using Cre8 Studio:

  • Connecting accounts that you do not own or control, or where you lack permission.
  • Uploading or scheduling content that infringes copyright, violates privacy, or breaches any platform’s content rules.
  • Attempting to scrape, export or rebuild large datasets from YouTube or other platforms beyond what is needed for normal dashboards.
  • Using Cre8 Studio to bypass platform rate limits, quota systems or review processes.
  • Using automation in a way that mimics spam, artificial engagement, fake views or other manipulative behaviour.
  • Sharing access tokens, refresh tokens or other credentials with third parties or trying to reverse engineer how token handling is implemented.
  • Re-using YouTube or other platform data for any purpose not clearly visible to the user in the Cre8 Studio interface.

If we detect behaviour that may violate this Policy or any third-party terms, we may suspend features, revoke API access, or close your Cre8 Studio account to protect the ecosystem.

5. Content ownership and copyright

You are responsible for ensuring that all content you create, upload, schedule or publish through Cre8 Studio complies with applicable law and each platform’s policies, including copyright, trademarks, privacy and publicity rights.

  • You must own the rights, or have written permission, to re-use and monetise any third-party content.
  • You must follow platform-specific rules for music, sports footage, movies, TV clips and any other licensed content.
  • If a rights holder or platform requests removal of content, you must comply promptly.

We do not claim ownership of your content. However, you grant us the limited rights necessary to store, process and transmit your content to the platforms you select, solely for operating the Service.

6. Rate limits, quotas and automation safety

All API usage performed by Cre8 Studio must respect the technical and policy limits of each platform:

  • We maintain internal safeguards to avoid exceeding official API quotas or making abusive requests.
  • We may queue or delay certain actions (for example, bulk uploads) to remain within safe limits.
  • We may temporarily disable or throttle automations if we detect errors, rate-limit responses or suspicious patterns.

Because quotas and rate-limit rules are controlled by each platform, we cannot guarantee that every scheduled action will succeed. Where possible, the dashboard will display success or failure status for your review.

7. Data security and handling of API tokens

Access tokens and refresh tokens obtained through OAuth or similar flows are treated as sensitive secrets. Cre8 Studio:

  • Stores tokens in secure environments with restricted access.
  • Uses tokens only to perform actions you have configured or triggered.
  • Does not share tokens with third parties except strictly necessary infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations.
  • Deletes or invalidates tokens when you disconnect an account or when a platform revokes access.

Additional details about how we protect personal information and API-related data can be found in our Privacy Policy.

8. Revoking access and account disconnection

You can disconnect any connected platform at any time from within Cre8 Studio or directly through that platform’s security settings. For example, you may revoke Google access at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions .

After disconnection, Cre8 Studio will cease making API requests for that account and will remove or anonymise the associated tokens within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention.

9. Compliance checks, investigations and suspension

To maintain compliance with YouTube and other platforms, we may occasionally review logs, error reports and usage patterns. Where we identify a potential issue, we may:

  • Request clarification or additional information from you.
  • Temporarily disable specific automations or integrations.
  • Limit or suspend access to certain features or to your account.
  • Co-operate with platforms if they conduct their own compliance audit or investigation.

If your account is suspended due to policy violations, we are not obliged to provide a refund for any fees already paid, except where required by law.

10. Third-party tools and future integrations

Cre8 Studio may integrate with additional services such as storage providers, AI tools or analytics systems. Use of those tools is still governed by this Policy and must remain compliant with the terms of YouTube, Google and all other platforms whose data is involved.

Where new integrations materially change the way your data is used, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate notice.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Platform & API Use Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features, changes to platform rules, or legal requirements.

When we make significant changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the product or by email. Continued use of API-powered features after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
